Hello, all! There’s so much to go over, but I’ll try not to be too long-winded. Let’s get to it…
First, as I am sure you’ve heard by now, we are canning three of our beers. Sweet Georgia Brown, Rich Man’s IIPA, and Oatmeal Pale will be in 16 ounce cans by next week. We are really excited to get these out in the world so you can take a beer of ours home with you. Or to a tailgate party! A few stores around town will be the first to carry them, as we cannot sell them to go for now. We will update the world as soon as they are out there. In the words of President Obama, “YES WE CAN!”
Second, we just put our collaboration with Jeremy Moynier from Stone into kegs, and are excited to release it. It is called Monkey Stones, and is a 7.7% dark American lager that was judiciously hopped with Citra. We are really excited that this is our first collaboration, and Jeremy was really awesome to work with. Release will be very soon, so look out for it.
Our NEXT collaboration will be with Brian Stillwater (of Stillwater Brewing) and we are planning on making a hibiscus Saison. Look for that toward the end of May. We will also be brewing the homebrew contest winners in May, so we’ll have plenty of new beer for everyone in June!
Now, for the pub. We have a cask of our Oatmeal Pale Ale with cacao this Saturday. It’ll be awesome, so come get it. Next week is the Craft Brewers Conference which is being held in San Diego again this year. We are having a few events to celebrate!
Tuesday is Firestone Walker night with a ton of great beer from them, including Velvet Merlin on cask AND Velvet Merkin (which is the barrel aged version!) as well as Wookey Jack, DBA, and Double Jack. We will have bottles of Parabola as well.
Wednesday is Stone Distribution Night and we have a cask of Alesmith Wee Heavy with toasted oak chips soaked in bourbon, rarities from Stone like Levariation, Mixtape, and more.
Thursday night is Dogfish Head night with a cask of 75 Minute IPA, 60, 90, and 120 Minute on tap, as well as all FOUR of their music series beers. I just found out we are also receiving their brand new release of Positive Contact, a beer made with Deltron 30-30. I am very excited for this event. There is going to be a glass giveaway of some sort for this one, so if you want a cool DFH glass, come see us.
So that’s about it for the next couple of weeks. We hope to see you in here.
